Every Ipswich venue has its own personality, and what suits a 15th-century barn won't suit a riverside hall. Here's how I approach styling across the area's most-booked venue types.
Suffolk's restored barns are some of the prettiest in the country, and the worst thing you can do is fight the building. The exposed beams, brickwork, and festoon lighting are already doing half the work. I let those features lead and layer warmth on top: trailing eucalyptus and dried grasses down long trestle tables, amber and clear glass votives, and seasonal blooms in soft, natural palettes like cream, blush, and sage. A flower-wrapped beam or a relaxed hanging installation above the top table works beautifully here. Keep it abundant but never fussy, and the barn does the rest.
Manor house weddings around Ipswich lean romantic and traditional, with panelled rooms, grand fireplaces, and gardens that practically ask for a country-garden theme. I usually recommend abundant greenery, garden roses and sweet peas (in season), mantelpiece installations, and aisle markers running out into the grounds. Natural palettes of cream, soft lavender, and dusty pink feel right against the period detail. If you've got access to the gardens for the ceremony, a free-standing floral arch set against the landscape is one of the most photographed setups I do all year.
The venues along the Orwell have a view most couples in Suffolk would envy, so the styling job is to frame it, not block it. I keep centrepieces low and tablescapes clean near the windows so nothing competes with the water and the grounds. Think compact arrangements, tapered candles, and a restrained palette that picks up the greens and blues outside. Save your statement pieces, a ceremony arch or a flower-lined entrance, for the spots where they'll be photographed against the river rather than crowding the dining tables.
Venues like All Manor of Events and Fynn Valley Terrace give you more freedom, which means your colour palette and florals have to lead because the room won't decide for you. This is where bolder couples can go heavier on theme: hanging floral installations, neon signage, colour-block tablescapes, or a full statement backdrop behind the top table. When the space is a blank canvas, I always start with one strong focal point and build the rest of the room out from it, so it reads as designed rather than decorated.
Ask any of the hundreds of couples I've worked with, and they'll tell you I love my job.
I started this wedding decoration business with one goal: to take the stress out of hiring the right wedding decor. The level of detail I put into item selection and design allows me to add a special touch to your big day.
From the moment you walk down the aisle into your ceremony room, up until your last drink at the reception, I'll make sure every part of the venue meets your standards.
If you're ready to plan the perfect wedding, let me know. I can work with you on the cost and which decoration package is best for you.

The Old NeneA small look at the atmosphere, florals, and finishing touches we bring together for our couples.
Ipswich sits where Suffolk's countryside meets the water, with the Orwell estuary on one side and rolling farmland on the other, and the wedding venues here borrow from both: panelled manor houses, restored timber barns, and halls with river views you won't get anywhere else in the county.
Our job is to dress those spaces so they feel like yours. We listen to what you want the day to feel like, then build the decor around the venue you've chosen rather than forcing a one-size template onto it.
If you're after wedding decor hire in Ipswich that's calm, beautifully finished, and genuinely shaped to your space, Events By Beau can help. As your Ipswich wedding decorator, we keep the whole process simple from the first conversation to the last box loaded back into the van.
Here's how we work. We agree a design with you, share a clear timeline, and handle all the coordination with your venue so you're not chasing emails the week before.
On the day, we're first in and last out: laying linens, dressing chairs, lighting candles, arranging florals, and moving pieces between the ceremony and reception so the day flows from one space to the next. We label every box, bring spares, and leave the venue as we found it, because the small things matter most on a wedding morning.
The design always starts with mood. We'll suggest seasonal florals, hand-tied bouquets, layered table arrangements, focal centrepieces, and statement backdrops, then add the quieter details that make a room feel intentional rather than crammed: texture, useful props, and height that pulls the eye.
How you book us is flexible. Choose straightforward hire of the pieces you need, or go end-to-end with design, styling, and on-the-day coordination. Lean modern, romantic, rustic, or bold, and we'll keep the thread consistent across every room.
We've styled weddings across Ipswich and the wider Suffolk countryside — timber barns out towards Woodbridge, riverside halls along the Orwell, country manors in the villages around the town, and converted spaces closer to the centre.
Share your date, a few images you love, and the venue you've booked. We'll come back with options that fit your space and your budget: the right pieces, the right pace, and a room that feels like the start of your marriage.
Full pricing is on the package cards above. As a rough guide, most Ipswich weddings I style with a full decor package sit between £2,200 and £4,500, depending on guest numbers and how much styling you want. Bespoke packages for larger or more involved set-ups start from £5,000.
Yes. I cover the whole of Ipswich and the surrounding Suffolk area, including Woodbridge, Belstead, Copdock, and the villages out towards the coast.
I've styled weddings at venues like The Tudor Barn Belstead, Woodhall Manor, Easton Grange, Copdock Hall, Woolverstone Hall, and All Manor of Events, among others. If your venue isn't on my recent venues list, just tell me where. I'll have either decorated there or styled somewhere very similar.
12 to 18 months is standard, especially for peak season (May to September). I take a limited number of weddings each year and summer Saturdays book out first. If your date is closer than that, please still get in touch, as I do occasionally have last-minute availability.
Absolutely. Every package can be tailored around your venue, colour scheme, and guest count. Popular add-ons include charger plates, ceremony arches and flower walls. If you want something completely bespoke, my custom service starts at £5,000.
Plenty of Suffolk's heritage barns and manors have rules around open flame, rigging, and fixings on period walls. I've worked within all of them. If your venue won't allow real candles, we'll use high-quality LED candles.
Yes. If you've sourced your own decor and just need a professional finish on the day, I offer a "lend a hand" service from £1000 plus delivery. It's popular with DIY couples who've got the pieces but don't want to spend their morning dressing tables.
